What's a fair price for a calf...probably to be raised as a meat cow?
I know...be more specific...so help me...what am I looking for?

I'm in the wrong market to be of much help Frank. We are still in a depressed state cow wise up here. (wouoldn't know it at the supermarket though).
The best thing to do is read those adds at work, or look for another paper that is more farm oriented then yours. A quick trip to the local sale barn also may be in order. Lots of folks there who will know the local market.
Didn't you put that big black visitor in the freezer??? (LOL)

Are you still looking Frank? Not much help from up here either, and I'm in 'cattle country' . I did find an article that may help though. http://www.backwoodshome.com/articles/sanders57.html There's also a book called "Raising a Calf for Beef" by Phyllis Hobson that you may be able to find at the library.

I don't know...things have been rough here...with the storms and the family...so I think any plans are on hold...
